I'm agnostic.  Wasn't sure if we had radius already because of
previous router login configurations, etc.  If anyone has a preference,
or pre-existing configs they want to copy over...???

Yeah.  One requirement in the Configurator code is that usernames be
no longer than 20 characters, and only contain A-z0-9 so we probably
should retain those restrictions for name generation.  The DB schema
works on that identifier quite a bit, so easier to follow that.
I would expect people wouldn't want over 20 characters in any case.
