note that the service machines are all VMware VMs, so they mount on any
VMware host.  you have seen the gang mounting them on servers RIPE is
loaning for the maastricht meeting.

so, one way of going could be, at your discretion,
  o your having access to the current set-up so you can see and work
    with the gang
  o for beijing, you just supply a couple of VMware hosts and mount
    the service guest images on them
this is essentially what is happening for maastricht.
