It also raises the question of a locally sourced ups... is that
something the ripe folks could cough up?

I note that smart ups 1500s are roughly 700euros apiece but I don't
really relish the idea of sourcing them, locally unless we have to.

Footprint of the routers (assuming m5 or m7i is roughly 800 watts ea)
m5s are having trouble with a full table  these days.
