exactly my straw proposal of the other day.  it is soooo absurdly simple
and st00pid that i find it almost irresistible.

as i said, for beijing, the token should have redundancy, so one can not
just type in anything that looks like an id.

i was unaware of this decision.  and, as i have a dog in this fight, am
