All,

Please read ASAP. This needs to go to Verilan this afternoon.

After talking with Chris with Verilan and going over the facility with
Geert, I've come up with the following list of equipment and supplies:

Equipment:
4 48-port 3750-G's. Two in the MDF/SER1, one for the NOC, and one
spare. There's also 2 24-ports, but I don't think we need them. Won't power
the 1252 AP's to full power.
8 24-port 3560-E's. Two will go in the MDF/SER1, two in the IDF/SER2, one in
the IDF/SER3, one for the Auditoriums, and one for SER7, depending on how
that works out. And a spare. Will power the 1252's to full power.
17 8-port 3560's. These are 10/100, with one gig port. PoE, but will not
power the 1252 AP's fully. Fanless, so silent. Do we want all 17? Easy to
ship, so I'm thinking ship them all.
75 1252 AP's with dual .11N radios covering 2.4 and 5Ghz. This includes the
one I've had that's mildly defective and needs it's Ethernet cable taped in.
37 Power Injectors for the above AP's. This will allow us to power the
1252's off of the 8-port 3560's or the 3750's.

The one thing we will need is a small switch with 2 gig ports for the
mid-span to the cafe. I'll ask Verilan if they have something we can borrow.

Fiber patch cables:
12 5-meter 62.5 multimode w/ SC connectors for the MDF/SER1. Because of
where the rack is we need longer jumpers here. 3 meter may work, but it
would be tight.
10 2-meter same for the IDF connections, etc.
8 1-meter same for switch-switch/patch-patch.

Copper patch cables:
Here's what Verilan shipped to Stockholm:
8 100 foot
20 75 foot
20 50 foot
10 35 foot
22 25 foot
50 14 foot
20 10 foot
70 7 foot
40 3 foot

I think this will do us, except it appears that we will need some longer
cables for the Auditoriums, unless we allocate two switches, one for each
Auditorium, instead of centrally locating one switch. I'll ask Verilan if
they have some longer ones. I hear certain people on the team are cable
terminators extraordinaire... :-)

Power cords:
One for each switch and power injector (66), plus a few spare:
70 euro power cords

Anything else?

Chris.
