We're not trying to be difficult, but we have a lot of "experimental" aspects to this meeting's network, and Russ is hoping to focus on things that will move IETF work forward. Could you write up a few words on your goals?

In pretty near future, no more IPv4 addresses will be available. Therefore, we will have IPv6-only networks. NAT64 is one technology highly considered by providers to access the IPv4 Internet (or IPv4 networks) through an IPv6-only access network. The experiment is to run the service, on a opt-in basis, by the IETF users so that we can collect data on which protocols, hosts, OS, applications work and do not work with NAT64. We ran the first experiment during Anaheim IETF and the results were presented at the friday behave wg session. The results were highly appreciated and there was a room concensus to continue the experiment in the next IETF to get more data. We intend to at least present the results of the experiment during the last of the week behave wg session and possibly in an internet-draft. The data also is relevant to any IPv6-only network deployment.

Finally, It is possible that at some point in time, the IETF network may run this technology when the IETF network will be IPv6-only. While we are not there yet, appropriate data will help ensure it will go smoothly when that time arrives.

Regards, Marc.

Also, do you need the ssid to be a broadcast SSID?
