At the Hotel. Crashing for a bit after my son's wedding in Dana Point, CA.

Carolyn will be joining me here tomorrow--a bit of a passport issue.

For those who haven't been here, the airport is small. Taxis are the only realistic way to get to the hotel. $32.50 CAD flat rate. They at least prefer cash--I don't think mine could do a credit card, but he did not speak more than a handful of English, and my French/Québécois is even more limited. Even my uneducated ear can hear a difference.

The Hilton offered me an executive room for another $40 a night, but I'm too cheap...and the cheap room is adequate. Nice view of the city. Queen bed. Internet is $12/day, but, as usual, should come off our bills at checkout. Once you log on to wired in your room, you get a token for wireless that works elsewhere. So far the Internet is speedy. That'll change!
