[ietf78-tech] ISOC meeting @MECC euro centre

I'm sure you have seen this too. Decision was made earlier to not light 
the Euro centre, i.e. there's no (IETF-) network where this meeting will be. 
Do we know if ISOC expects us to light the Euro centre after all?

Following previous successful Internet Society panels, including on "Securing t
he DNS" held in Stockholm during IETF 75, we are organizing a briefing panel on
 Tuesday, 27 July, 11:45am - 12:45pm CET in conjunction with IETF 78:

Subject: DNS: Secure at 27, what's next?
Place:   Euro Room, Euro Centre, MECC, Maastricht, Netherlands
Time:    Tuesday, 27 July 2010, during the IETF lunch break

DNS was developed and documented in 1983, replacing the manually edited HOSTS.T
XT file.  Since then, it has become one of the most widely deployed pieces of c
ommunal Internet infrastructure.

While its root and the top level domains of the DNS tree garner most internatio
nal attention, individual domains are maintained by their registrants. This ope
ns doors to possible issues in stability and security, while giving DNS the pos
ition as the top deployed scalable lookup service. The IETF continues to mainta
in the standard for its specification, as well as related specifications.

Space for this panel is limited. To account for the broad range of home timezon
es of IETF participants, half of the available spaces available will be open fo
r registration at 0000 UTC on 20 July 2010 with the remaining spaces made avail
able at 1200 UTC on 20 July 2010.
